Nailpro International Team Honor Awarded to Odyssey Nails

VAN NUYS, CALIFORNIA—Nailpro Competition Director Jewell Cunningham recognized the Odyssey Nails team with a special award honoring their ongoing commitment to building an international dialogue on November 7, 2008.
"Vannie Luu and Trang Nguyen of Odyssey Nails have helped the Nailpro Cup become an international event by bringing in so many competitors from outside the U.S.," said Jewell Cunningham. "International competitors, such as Eunhea Won, Jisun Kim, Gunsun Kim, Dong Yeun Kim of Korea, and Catherine Wong, Patricia Wong, Hsiao-yi Lui of Singapore, brought an amazing level of sophistication to the competitions and pushed everyone to perform at a higher level."
"We believe that all nail technicians benefit from a global perspective," says Vannie Luu. "Great work is the same wherever you travel, even though training and working in Asia or Australia is very different from training and working as a nail technician in the U.S."
Under team captain Trang Nguyen, Odyssey Nails has fielded two Nailpro Cup-winning teams. Trang has been working in the nail industry for 21 years, beginning as a nail technician in California, and shortly after becoming a Licensed Instructor for the California State Board of Cosmetology. Today, he is the International Master Educator for Odyssey Nails Systems. He has competed nationally and internationally and has more than 120 trophies to his credit. ONS GLOBAL NAIL CUP 3
The ONS Global Nail Cup 2009 will be held from 10-11 January, 2009 at KimKoo Museum & Library in Seoul. The host organization and sponsor is Odyssey Nail Systems and it is promoted by Korea Nail Association, NAILPIA and NAIL TV. Last year's entries saw about 700+contestants and this year is expected to hit more than 1000 contestants. It is a true test of technical skills and enriching in experience for an aspiring competitor. What Are the Fundamentals that Makes Odyssey Education Different ?
IMHO A brand name means little to a nail technician without supporting education. The relationship between good techniques combined with a good product creates unlimited possibilities. A good product will continue to survive and improve when there is a good education team and technicians who endorses the product through competition, education and use in the salon. Feedback and experience from using the products will help the company keep products updated and improvise new lines. ONS Trang Nguyen is the R&D, the educator, the competitor and the business owner who is out there to support and mentor every step of the way. These are fundamentals which makes ONS what it is today and going strong.

Team ONS goes a long way back
Trang Nguyen created his earliest batch of winning team back in the 90's in Korea who've made their mark in this industry today such as Kim Mi Won and Seo Sang Mi. The rest is history. We are privileged to be able to pick his brains and skills !
